Mazda2 versi Sedan merupakan kendaraan yang mengusung tagline 'Stylish Car You Can Wear' ini mengusung mesin yang diberi kode MZR 1.5L DOHC 16 Valve berteknologi Sequential Valve Timing (S-VT) dan Electronic Throttle Control (ETC).
Mesin 4 silinder ini menghasilkan daya maksimum sebesar 103hp pada 6.000rpm dengan kekuatan putir 135Nm (13,76kgm) pada 4.000 rpm. Ditawarkan dalam dua pilihan transmisi, manual 5-speed dan otomatis 4-speed.


Mazda2 Sedan hadir dalam dua pilihan trim level. Versi standarnya diberi emblem S dan versi yang lebih sporti ditandai dengan tambahan emblem R. Perbedaan kedua varian ini terlihat pada bagian eksteriornya yang tentu saja varian R memiliki fitur yang 'lebih' dibanding varian S. Contohnya lampu kabut depan yang tak dimiliki oleh varian S.

Untuk Mazda2 Sedan R versi manual dibanderol Rp236,5 juta, sementara otomatisnya Rp245 juta, seluruhnya dalam kondisi on the road (Jakarta).
