Newest Honda CRV Honda plans that would launch the new Honda CR-V seems to be getting closer. Secretly Japanese car manufacturer and even then test the car the SUV character.

2011 Honda Odyssey
The 2011 Honda Odyssey is the latest offering from Honda, and according to the auto major at least one version of the 2011 Odyssey minivan will be delivering a remarkable fuel economy of 28 miles per gallon on the highways. As a matter of fact, they even have got the word from the feds on it, just as Honda had predicted. But more than the fuel economy we are concerned about the sheet metal dogleg positioned right in front of the rear wheel. While we think it’s a kind of mismatch, Honda thinks that you’ll instead imagine it as unique lightning bolt depicted by the 2011 Odyssey minivan’s side styling. The 2011 Odyssey will start from $28,580 for its LX starter model and will go up to $44,030 for its Touring Elite.The interiors for the 2011 Honda Odyssey gets significant amount of makeover and is slated to go on sale Sept. 30. Honda has altered the model lineup and standard features, which makes the head-to-head comparison of the vehicle a bit tricky. But on a whole the 2011 Odyssey is around 3% to 4% more pricey than the 2010.

If you compare the prices of the top models of the two vehicles then you can see the difference, the top model of 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite is priced at $44,030, while for Sienna its $40,730. The top model of Odyssey comes loaded with a dual-view screen for its rear entertainment system. The best thing about this system is that it will be displaying two different programs from different sources, and hence the kids won’t have to fight over what to watch and what not to. Toyota pioneered this dual-view rear entertainment system in its redesigned 2011 Sienna minivan.

Toyota even charges some extra for the features which now are standard on Honda, such as the dual-view rear entertainment screen available on high-end models of the vehicle. According to Toyota the price increase on the 2011 Sienna was just around $200, or even less than 1%, on average.

The real disappointment that the 2011 Honda Odyssey, gives is that: there is no four-cylinder Odyssey available, neither is there an all wheel drive variant, and the Odyssey doesn’t even conceals the sliding door track, like the Chrysler and Toyota’s do.

The top models of Honda Odyssey models, like Touring and Touring Elite, priced above 40 grand, have a six-speed automatic transmission as their standard transmission instead of the five-speed, which is standard on lower end models. The six speed automatic transmission versions delivers just one extra mile per gallon. But according to Honda, the 6AT has been used for enhancing performance and not mileage.

Finally, what we can say here is that the Honda Odyssey, on a whole is a lot quieter and refined than Toyota Sienna, and if you are looking for a family minivan, considering it won’t harm you at all.

All New Honda Odyssey Review

Sosoknya yang lebih rendah, membuat All New Honda Odyssey berbeda dibandingkan MPV premium lain yang rata-rata lebih jangkung. Titik pusat gravitasi (center of gravity) yang rendah, serta suspensi independen double wishbone di depan dan belakang menjadikan Odyssey mendekati kenyamanan sedan.


Perbedaan kian kental karena ground clereance-nya yang hanya 150 mm. Odyssey malah lebih rendah dari MPV Honda lainnya, Freed, yang memiliki ground clereance 165 mm.

Tampak depan, cukup banyak perubahan yang dilakukan pada Odyssey. Headlamp sipit kini dilengkapi teknologi High Intense Discharge (HID) dan auto levelling. Grill depan dirombak sehingga tampil lebih berotot yang dipadu dengan bumper depan dipadu materi chrome yang mewah.

Yang kurang dari bagian ini adalah tidak adanya foglamp alias lampu kabut. Sedangkan buritan, lampu belakang model V-straight dan bumper belakang dipadukan dengan dual muffler yang sporty.

Untuk interior, ada kemiripan konsep antara Odyssey dengan Freed. Kaca depan besar dengan pilar A yang kompak memberikan jarak pandang luas dari setiap baris di mobil. Jika kurang nyaman, pengemudi masih bisa mengatur posisi ke delapan arah lewat 8 way power seat adjuster.

Dashboard dibuat dengan model bertingkat dengan desain wave shape. Rancangan kabin juga menggunakan Theatrical Cabin Space dan V-Shape Cabin yang membuat seluruh penumpang sampai baris ketiga bisa melihat dengan leluasa ke depan.

Dahboard sudah dilengkapi 3D layer multicluster dan perangkat audio sistem berteknologi touchscreen alias layar sentuh yang terhubung dengan rear camera. Fitur ini juga digunakan di Honda New CR-V.

Namun untuk urusan pendingin, dibandingkan CR-V yang menggunakan dual zone, Odyssey sudah menggunakan triple zone A/C memungkinkan setiap baris dalam mobil mengatur suhu pendingin sesuai kenyamanan masing-masing.

Interior kian mewah karena jok sudah berlapis kulit, ada Auto Outer Slide Sunroof, dan kaca berlapis V-Kool. "Pokoknya begitu membeli konsumen sudah tinggal pakai," kata Jonfis Fandy, Marketing and Aftersales Service Director PT HPM.

Satu fitur menarik di mobil ini adalah Powered Magical 3rd Row Seat. Kenapa disebut magic? Karena untuk melipat bangku baris ketiga belakang secara penuh ANda tak perlu lagi melakukannya dengan cara manual. Cukup dengan menekan sebuah tombol di bagian kiri dan walah.... Bangku terlipat dan hasilnya ruang bagasi sebesar 708 liter atau setara 4 tas golf besar.

Dapur pacunya masih mengusung mesin i-VTEC Double Over-head Cahmshaft (DOHC) berkapasitas 2.4L ditunjang fitur Torque Boost Resonator. Teknologi terakhir ini sudah menjadi teknologi standar di produk Honda. Jazz, City, Civic, Accord, Freed, dan CR-V juga menggunakan teknologi ini.

Tapi Honda melakukan penyempurnaan. Mesin ini menyemburkan daya maksimum 180 PS pada 6.500 rpm atau lebih tinggi 18 ps dari model sebelumnya, dengan torsi maksimum 22.2 kgm pada 4.500 rpm. Transmisi otomatis 5 percepatan ditunjang fitur Drive by Wire, Shift Hold System dan Grade Logic Control sehingga menghasilkan tenaga besar dengan bahan bakar efisien.

Fitur keselamatan? Sebagai MPV premium jelas Odyssey punya fitur lengkap. Yang terbaru adalah Motion Adaptive Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) + EPS (Electric Power Steering). Teknologi ini menggabungkan VSA yang mencegah Oversteer dan Understeer dengan bantuan ABS (Antilock Braking Syatem), EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution), dan BA (Brake Assist) serta Traction Control yang terintegrasi dengan EPS.

HPM optimistis Odyssey yang dibanderol Rp 536 juta (on the road Jakarta) ini akan kembali menjadi trendsetter di segmen MPV premium. Jonfis menyebut pengguna Freed dan CR-V jika ingin naik kelas maka pilihannya adalah Odyssey.
